Delurk Divus - you can't shake me off, baby

I completely forgot about this year's Delurk Divus. May 12 came and went and I forgot to pain everyone about saying hello. Well, I remember it now and don't think you are going to get away without waving at me, stranger.

So yes, you, the long-time reader who has been around for years and has never missed a post. And you, intermittent reader, who comes by when s/he has nothing better to do. And you, friend from real life, who also happens to read this. And you, blog-friend who doesn't comment anymore because come on, don't we talk enough on Facebook already? And you, first-time visitor who just happened to come over and found herself right in the middle of the delurk party. And you, the one who doesn't fall into any of the above categories. This is me, waving at you and asking, who be you? Say hi, use a nick if you are shy about real names, tell me a bit about yourself. Where are you from? What do you do? Do we share any interests? Do you want to keep reading me or should I shut this shop already? Heh, needy question, I know.

It's just one day! Tadah, Delurk Divus 2011 now open and I wait for your comments, all agog. My hypothesis is that nobody reads blogs anymore but hey, prove me wrong and I might just go back to blogging regularly again.

Hello again! I delurked last Delurk Divus :) I read you regularly, and you shouldn't shut shop AT ALL. I have loved the letters to little Ragu over the months most. Last year, I'd said I'd love to meet you.. but never really got around to emailing you about it. One day :)

PS: If you can't place me, my Blogger profile is "Soul of Alec Smart". Stopped using it recently.

I belong to the first category. long-time reader and very rare commentor. Dont' shut your blog! It is my source of reference for kiddie books, home decor, funny bits- even tips for how to lead life. :D Yes- that profound.

And yes- we share one interest in particular. Absolutely heart Shivani. You too, eh? And hindi debate?- I have seen very few people having such deep interest in both the languages.

Richa said...

I don't know where my earlier comments is gone!

It was on the lines of me belonging to the first category- sometimes checking in twice a day if you have posted and my feed was not updated- getting disappointed when you don't post for days on end. Don't shut the shop please!

Love Shivani. Love Hindi. Love your blog for it shows your level-and-clear-headed-ness. Keep going strong!

Hi Parul,
I'm a long time reader (about a year maybe) of your blog, about time I "de-lurked" :)
Your blog is quirky, fun and never fails to bring a smile, even when you write about maid troubles, temper tantrums and mommy guilt (I should have said "as intended" instead of "even when you write").

I'm a techie in Bangalore with an academician spouse and an almost-7-year-old daughter.

Thanks for the opportunity to say 'hi'! Its good to shed the cloak of anonymity :) !

Hey Parul. I'd been a regular follower(lurker, if you must!) till last year. And i was pretty surprised to see the many changes in the blog.. The name, background.. its a lot to take in... Guess i miss Bringing up Adi. I've been trying to lay my hands on BUV.. Somehow no bookstore in Bangalore (and, believe me I've looked in EVERY bookstore) has a copy.. :(
And please don't shut shop. You know you are good.
There, I've delurked.. finally.. and in quite a cheesy way, that too :)
